Pakistan receives massive blow as ten players test positive for COVID-19

Few days back Pakistan ex player Shahid Afridi was found to be infected by Corona Virus. After him now ten players from touring squad have COVID-19.

However, the rest 19 players will leave Pakistan by the scheduled date on the 28th of June.

Pakistan Cricket Board executive Wasim Khan is hopeful about the tour. He said that –

The tour to England is very much on track and the side will depart as per schedule

Pakistan is due to face-off against the world champion England on their own back-yards in three tests and three T20Is, in August.

English Cricket board director Ashley Giles is also very optimistic about the future of the tour

We’re far enough away from the Test series to not worry about that too much at the moment

Haris Rauf, Haider Ail, and leggie Shadab Khan showed no real symptoms before testing positive on Sunday.

Unfortunately they have now been joined by fellow team mates Fakhar Zaman, Imran Khan, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Rizwan and Wahab Riaz, alongside team masseur Malang Ali, after further tests were carried out on Monday.

Each eleven individuals have been suggest to observe “strict quarantine at their own house”.
